The North Fulton March of Dimes Walk Committee is has named Roswell residents Marc and Kristi Glickman and Bo and Susie Wagner as its 2010 co-chairpersons, heading up the organization’s 20th walk in Roswell.
The committee is comprised of local residents and business owners who reach out to businesses and organizations for sponsorships and team creations to raise money.
The goal this year is to raise $365,000.
Marc Glickman is the director of finance and accounting for Orkin and Associates LLC, an Alpharetta-based real estate investment and asset-management company.
“We have a lot of friends and family who have been affected by premature birth, so we thought it would be great to get involved in this organization,” Glickman said. “This is something great that we can do together while helping to give back to the community.”
Glickman said he hopes as co-chairs, his family and the Wagners can increase local awareness about premature birth and birth-associated problems, attract more participants and keep walkers engaged so they return each year.
The Wagners are co-founders and co-owners of Harris Wagner Law Group, a boutique real estate law practice in Atlanta.
“We hope to see more involvement, whether it’s through corporate sponsors or families who have never done the walk,” Wagner said.
This year’s luncheon, which is being held Feb. 3 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Metropolitan Club in Alpharetta, will have the theme “Lights, Cameras, Babies” and will be presented as an Oscar Night-like event.
According to North Fulton Walk Director Anise Castleberry, the luncheon is a great time to learn more about participating in the walk.
